Spring writing 💐

 

We were learning about writing very descriptive information about what the best parts about spring to us. I found it easy to use an online thesaurus to find better vocab for  words that could be more descriptive. I found it challenging to change all my level 1 and 2 words to make it more specific so I can achieve a better standard.  Next time I think I will add more level 3 adjectives so I can be on a higher standard and I can increase my spring vocabulary.

My Smiley face gif

 We were learning how to make a gif using piskel. I found it easy to add all of the different shapes and colors. I found it challenging to add all the different movements so my smiley face can move around. I enjoyed using a new gif app to make my own gif. Next time I might add more things into my piskel so its more detailed.

 

Have a Heart Powtoon!! 💙

 

We were learning how to make a powtoon about one of our REACH values. I found it easy to think of a powtoon about the REACH value have a heart. I found it challenging to  find the right backgrounds for the playground scenes. I enjoyed being able to choose what REACH value I could make a powtoon about. Next time I might choose a different/harder REACH value so I can challenge myself more.

My sunflower research question 🌻

 

We were learning about sunflowers so we had to write a research question about sunflowers. I found it easy to research my question in google and then write it down on slides. I found it challenging to think of a question I wanted to find out the answer to about sunflowers. I enjoyed finding out how much water a sunflower needs per day so I can care better for my sunflower. Next time I might think of another question so I can learn more about sunflowers. 

The case of the missing everything (trailer)

 

We were learning how to make a powtoon on a movie trailer relating to our favourite book. I found it easy to add all the characters, backgrounds, sound and all the other effects. I found it challenging to pick all the translation between each slide. I enjoyed recording my own sounds and voice overs. Next time I might try and add less slides because its only a trailer of the book.

How to draw a Smiley face!! 😋😋

 

We were learning about how to write instructions on how to draw a smiley face. I found it easy to imagine drawing each step and I was writing it down. I found it challenging to make sure every part made sense. I enjoyed writing about how to draw a smiley face because I like smiley faces :). Next time I will try and add more steps or break down my bigger steps into 2 steps.

How to care for a dog!! 💜

We were learning about writing instructions on how to care for a dog! I found it easy to think of the ideas since I have my own dog that I care for. I found it challenging to add in the little details to each step so it made more sense. I enjoyed writing about how to care for dogs because I love dogs, they are amazing and adorable!! Next time I might write in more ways on how to care for a dog so you and your dog can have more fun together.

How to play Rob the nest!!

 

We were learning about how to write instructions on how to play a game called Rob the nest. I found it easy to think about how to play this fun game so I could have more ideas on how to write instructions about how to play it. I found it challenging to add those little details to each step so if I took the class to play this game it would turn out right. I enjoyed writing instructions about this fun game because it's a very popular game and lots of people enjoy playing it. Next time I might split in half so a how to set it up and a how to play.

How to brush your teeth!

 

We were learning about how to write instructions on how to brush your teeth. I found it easy to write down the instructions I thought of and then imagine them in my head to see if they make sense. I found it hard to add lots of detail so if somebody followed these instructions they would have clean teeth at the end of reading it. I enjoyed writing instructions about how to brush your teeth because brushing your teeth is very important and hygenic. Next time I might try and add more steps/detail so it will make sense to people reading it.

The BFG

 

We were learning about writing a BFG themed acrostic poem and descriptive slides about the BFG. I found it easy to think of word that relate to Sophie for my acrostic poem. I found it challenging to find out how the BFG speaks. I enjoyed thinking of what the BFG would do in his free time. Next time I might choose a different word to do my acrostic poem with that relates to the BFG
